This is software tool that converts SWF to FLA and FLEX and extract the SWF elements.
This tool is also a batch converter that helps convert SWF to FLA or FLEX project and extract Flash resources. This software can separate out most of the elements used in a flash movie in SWF format. These include shapes, images, sounds (mp3 or wav), videos (flv), frames, fonts, texts, buttons, sprites, ActionScript, etc. properties of each element are displayed. This tool thus can save a lot of work if you are planning to reuse elements from an existing SWF in a entirely new production. That, of course, can tempt you use elements from SWFs that are owned by someone else. You’ll need to be careful about copyright issues there. The tool supports Flash version 6 through 10. In other words MX 2004, CS3 and CS4 are supported. ActionScript supported is versions 2.0 and 3.0.When decompiling ActionScript 2.0/3.0, the readable code is displayed with syntax highlights.
The graphical interface shows you the resources break down on the right of the display window. You can preview the SWF in the display window. These are categorized and stored in folders like shapes, font, button, sprite etc. On the left you have the file browsing window and a window below that show you the files in processing for the current batch. Right below the display window you have the stats displayed in different categories that are general, instance, label and movie info. Multi-language interface makes it usable by a wide range of users. If you do a lot of work with Flash SWFs, there will, obviously be occasions to reuse elements and this tool would be handy in such scenarios.
